Using its own steelmaking facility in Newcastle, Smorgon Steel Grinding Media is able to produce a wide range of quality steel products customised for multiple comminution applications.
The production facilities are tailor designed for the production of high quality grinding media, with roll forging of 25mm (1 inch) through to 80 mm (31/4 inch) and upset forging of 80mm (31/4 inch) through to 150mm (6 inch) balls. At Smorgon Steel's Indonesian works roll forging balls range 25mm (1inch) through to 65 mm (21/2 inch).
Smorgon Steel grinding media is used throughout Australia and in the following countries: India, Indonesia, Iran, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Philippines, Peru, Chile, New Caledonia and Africa.
