Smorgon Steel Grinding Media's quality management systems have been accredited to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 by Quality Assurance Services, a division of Standards Australia. Registration number QEC 0902/03 covers "the manufacture and supply of hot rolled and hot forged, high carbon alloy steel grinding balls and hot rolled steel grinding rods".

	Smorgon Steel Grinding Media have developed detailed, documented procedures for the many proprietary steel grades; production and test methods used in the manufacture of Grinding Media.
	Sophisticated chemical analysis and metallurgical laboratories are maintained on site to support the production and testing of all phases of manufacture. These facilities are also used for product development and continuos improvement programs for Grinding Media.
	All laboratories are accredited to the stringent requirements of NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia).
	The Chemical Laboratory has Accreditation number 644, and the Metallurgical Laboratories Accreditation number 666).
