Earlier in the year, Smorgon Wire was contacted by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service to assist them with a breeding programme for the endangered Northern Hairynosed Wombat. With only 100 Northern Hairy-nosed Wombats left in the world, the Australian marsupial is Queensland's most endangered mammal (or one of the 10 most endangered mammals in the world.)
